The Government of Andhra Pradesh, School Education Department, has officially released a revised schedule for the State Best Teacher Awards–2026 to be presented on the occasion of Teachers’ Day (Gurupujotsavam) on 5 September 2026.

According to Memo No.3335383/TRNG-CSE/2026, dated 19 July 2026, the Department has revised the timeline for submission of applications and the selection process following requests received from District Educational Officers (DEOs). The revised schedule aims to ensure a smooth, transparent, and timely selection process across all districts.

  • District Level Scrutiny & Interviews 25 July 2026 – 30 July 2026
  • Submission of Final District List to Director of School Education 31 July 2026
  • State Level Scrutiny & Interviews 06 August 2026 – 10 August 2026

The revised timeline is applicable to all categories of eligible teachers participating in the State Best Teacher Awards selection process.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Divisional Level

Applications submitted by eligible teachers will be scrutinized and shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio category-wise.

  1. District Level

Shortlisted candidates will undergo scrutiny and interviews conducted by the District Selection Committee.

  1. State Level

Candidates recommended by districts will appear for the final scrutiny and interview conducted at the State level before the announcement of awardees.
