ORDER
Government has extended the Medical Reimbursement Scheme under APIMA Rules, 1972 from 01.04.2026 to 31.03.2027 for employees and pensioners in parallel with the Employee Health Scheme (EHS), following the comprehensive guidelines issued in G.O.Rt.No.345 dated 21.08.2018.
The extension was made based on representations received from:
- Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Association
- State Teacher’s Union of Andhra Pradesh
- APJAC Amaravati
The Chief Executive Officer, Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, has been instructed to:
- Review the implementation of the Employee Health Scheme (EHS) and address issues related to acceptance of EHS Health Cards by empanelled hospitals.
- Ensure prompt scrutiny, processing, and settlement of EHS claims.
- Reduce dependence on the Medical Reimbursement Scheme by ensuring timely payments under EHS and minimize reimbursement claims by March 2027.
- Prepare and implement an action plan for complete stabilization of EHS so that the Medical Reimbursement Scheme can be discontinued after the current financial year.
This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department.
