APPSC Departmental Tests November 2026 Notification Released – Apply Online, Eligibility, Fee, Exam Pattern & Important Dates

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Vijayawada has released Notification No. 06/2026 for the Departmental Tests – November 2026 Session. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the APPSC official website from 01 October 2026 to 21 October 2026. The examination dates will be announced later.

The online application process will begin on 01 October 2026. Candidates can submit applications up to 21 October 2026, and the fee payment facility will remain available up to 11:00 PM on the last date. Eligibility for APPSC Departmental Tests

Employees of the Government of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for the Departmental Tests that are prescribed under their respective Departmental Service Rules.

The notification also specifies eligibility conditions for certain tests and particular departments. Candidates should carefully check the relevant service rules and paper codes before applying.

Some specified paper codes are open to applicants irrespective of whether they are currently in Government Service or not, as mentioned in the notification.

APPSC Departmental Tests Exam Pattern 2026

The examination mode differs depending on the paper.

Most tests, except specified Language and Survey Tests, are conducted in Objective Type format. Objective papers will be conducted as Computer Based Departmental Tests (CBT). APPSC has also indicated that candidates can use the mock test facility available on its website to become familiar with the computer-based examination system.

Objective Type Papers

  • Duration: 2 Hours / 120 Minutes
  • Forenoon: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Conventional Type Papers

  • Duration: 3 Hours / 180 Minutes
  • Forenoon: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Paper Code No. 005: 2 Hours, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the afternoon session.

APPSC Departmental Tests Exam Centres

The Departmental Tests will be conducted in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Candidates will generally be allotted an examination centre in the district where they are presently working, based on the working district mentioned in their application. If sufficient accommodation is not available, some candidates may be allotted to the nearest district.

APPSC Departmental Tests Application Fee

The examination fee is ₹500 for each paper. In addition, an application processing fee of ₹500 is prescribed, except where an exemption applies.

No fee is prescribed for the Gujarati and Marwari Language Tests.

The prescribed fee must be paid online through the payment gateway using Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card. IPOs and Demand Drafts are not accepted. The notification states that the fee once remitted will not be refunded or adjusted.

How to Apply for APPSC Departmental Tests November 2026

Candidates should follow the online application procedure carefully.

Step 1: Complete OTPR Registration

Candidates applying for the first time must complete One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the APPSC website and obtain an OTPR ID.

Candidates who already have an OTPR ID can proceed using their existing details. Existing applicants are instructed to update their working district according to the new 26-district structure before submitting the application.

Step 2: Login to APPSC Website

Login using the OTPR ID and password and select the Online Application Submission option.

Step 3: Enter Application Details

Verify the details already available in the system and enter the examination-specific information carefully.

Step 4: Pay the Fee

Select the payment link against Notification No. 06/2026 and complete the payment process.

After successful payment, a Payment Reference ID will be generated. Candidates should preserve this reference number for future correspondence.

Step 5: Submit the Application

After payment, complete the remaining application details, select the examination centre and submit the application.

Once successfully submitted, an Application Receipt will be generated. Candidates are advised to print and preserve the receipt for future reference.

Photo and Signature Requirements

Candidates must upload scanned photographs and signatures in JPEG format.

  • Photograph: 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, below 50 KB
  • Signature: 3.5 cm × 1.5 cm, below 30 KB

Syllabus and Timetable

The detailed timetable is available in Annexure-II, while the list of books allowed for each test, syllabus and qualifying marks are provided through the Commission’s website and relevant annexures. Candidates wishing to appear for more than one test can apply subject to the timetable permitting them to do so.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates should carefully verify all information before submitting the application. Incomplete or incorrect applications may be rejected.

The Commission specifically advises applicants to ensure that all relevant fields are filled and that eligibility is checked before submission. Changes to certain details are restricted after submission.

For certain tests, candidates may also be required to upload a duly signed Service Certificate or other supporting documents.

Candidates should also preserve their Hall Tickets for future correspondence, as the notification states that duplicate Hall Tickets will not be issued.

APPSC Departmental Tests Results

The results of candidates who are provisionally declared to have passed will be displayed on the Commission’s Notice Board and hosted on the official APPSC website. The notification states that no individual Pass Certificate will be issued by the Commission.

Memorandum of Marks and Recounting

Candidates who are unsuccessful may apply for the Memorandum of Marks by following the procedure specified in the notification.

The notification also provides for recounting of marks for Conventional Type written tests, subject to the prescribed time limit and fee. Revaluation of answer sheets will not be entertained.
