All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers/District School Educational Officers in the State are informed that 80th Independence Day will be celebrated on 15th August, 2026.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers/District School Educational Officers
in the State are hereby instructed to ensure that Independence Day is celebrated in all Government, Local Body, Aided and Private
Management Schools with due dignity, enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The following instructions shall be followed:

1. At the District Level, the National Flag shall be hoisted by the District Educational Officer.
2. At the School Level, the National Flag shall be hoisted by the Chairman, School Management Committee. In the absence of the Chairman, the Headmaster/Principal of the concerned school shall hoist the National Flag.
3. Patriotic songs, cultural programmes, speeches, essay writing, quiz competitions and other activities on the theme of Independence Day shall be organized.
4. Students, teachers, School Management Committee members, |/4987665/2026
   ESEO2-30/74/2025-A&। -CSE parents and local public representatives may be invited to participate in the celebrations.
5. The provisions of the Flag Code of India and all Government instructions relating to the National Flag shall be followed meticulously.
6. AIl field officers shall ensure that the celebrations are conducted in a befitting manner in every school under their jurisdiction. The above instructions shall be followed scrupulously without any
   deviation.
